It was already about 3 inches or longer. I could not see that much from the inside or from the ground. I could only see about a 2 inch line, which was the tail. It was much worse than I thought.

He explained that trying anymore to fix would just cause it to run more. He gave me a quote on a new windshield and asked me to please give him a call if I decided to change the glass. He didnt ask for anything, even though he came out, spent time, and materials trying to fix it. He was ready to leave empty handed.
I asked him to order a new windshield. He was back the next morning at our agreed time. He did a great job. It was quick, he came to me, and much cheaper than other estimates. There were a couple of bumps but he worked right through and left behind no issues. If not for the missing crack and chip... you would never know he was here. Even the stickers on the windshield look perfect with no damage from moving them off the old glass.
